Poll for IEEE Industry Night

IEEE* Okanagan Student Chapter** is hosting IEEE Industry Night event on Feb 16th, 2023.
The main objective of the event is to introduce the most enthusiastic ambitious and hardworking UBCO students with employers and recruiters form all around North America.

However, we do not want this event to be just networking event - we are thinking of adding the "5-minute Pitch" component at the beginning of the event. What we mean by it is that selected 10-12 UBCO engineering/compsci clubs or teams will have 5-7 minutes each to present their projects in front of the large body (70+ people) of employers, recruiters and potential investors.

All "pitches" will be done in an 1 hour 15 min and right after the end of it, the "Networking" component of the event will start. We believe that, by doing so, we will set the tone for the event and make attendees more comfortable approaching students during the "Networking" Component.

The purpose of this poll is to find out if there is enough demand from UBCO clubs/engineering teams to showcase their projects in front of the large body of employers, recruiters and potential investors.

Keep in mind that by filling this form, we are NOT registering you for the event, but registering your interest.
If we see enough interest in "5-minute Pitch" component, we will add it to the event and then, to all teams, who expressed the interest, we will send a formal invite to apply for one of the 12 spots in the "5-minute Pitch" component of the event.

The main theme colours of the event are dark blue and white.
The main style is professional-casual.

We have doubts of adding fundraising option to "5-minute Pitch" component of the event.

If we add it, then clubs/teams will be able to have a raise funds during the "Networking" component of the event.

If you select yes, you should be ready to prepare a sponsorship package for the event.

If you have another idea for fundraising, please, share it with us in "Other" option
