Part of our mission at the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society is to collect and preserve the history of the four communities we serve. That history is made by you. Your stories. Your challenges. Your experiences. Even though we are all experiencing quarantine and isolation, the impact it has had on our lives is far from the same.
All of us are missing out on things during this unprecedented time in history but our 2020 seniors are missing out on so much more. Graduation is something everyone works so hard for so to not have the opportunity to walk across that stage is heartbreaking. There are so many other special events and experiences just for seniors - proms, all night parties, the last day of high school or college - that they won't have a chance to get back. The Class of 2020 has had graduation experience like no other before.
So, Class of 2020, we'd like to hear from you. Your stories, your experiences, your feelings. Tell us how your senior year has been impacted by COVID-19 and how you have dealt with being quarantined. Have you done anything special to commemorate your graduation?
You can submit your story in any format you feel most comfortable with - a written document, a photograph, a piece of art, a video, a song, or anything else you’d care to share. Start by filling out the online form, found at the link below, and follow the instructions in the last question to upload your files.
