Nominations are due by June 30
NJASCD is seeking nominations for the Dr. Ernest L. Boyer Outstanding Educator Award.
The award is presented by NJASCD to an educator who has made a major contribution to the field of education and who has exemplified the vision, leadership qualities, and commitment to the improvement of education that characterized the career of Dr. Boyer.
Nominees:
1.Must be actively involved in the field of education in the State of New Jersey.
2.Must have demonstrated the vision, courage, leadership and commitment to the improvement of
education in New Jersey that has resulted in the active promotion, and/or adoption of fundamental
change(s) in statewide policies and/or practices in the field of education.
3.Must be a person whose contributions and reputation are widely known and respected within New
Jersey.
4.Must be a person whose engaging and inspiring leadership motivates and impacts colleagues and
community
5.The nominee is not required to be a member of New Jersey ASCD or ASCD, but his/her vision, goals
and contributions to the field of education must be supportive of the vision, mission and goals of New
Jersey ASCD and ASCD.
6.It is expected that the recipient will make a commitment to receive the award at the
NJPSA/FEA/NJASCD Fall Conference in October 2024.
7.The person submitting this nomination must be a current member of New Jersey ASCD.
