JRE is in the process of nominating officers for the 2020-2021 school year. Please fill out and return this form to the JRE office or Sherry Farnan by Friday, March 20, 2020 if you would consider a position. Individual Duties of Officers:
Overall duties include providing support and positively promoting and representing Bedford Public Schools and Jackman Road Elementary.
a)    President shall preside at all meetings, shall be a member of all committees (except nominating), shall cast a ballot in case of ties, shall be able to sign checks, coordinate the work of chairmen, and perform other duties incident of the office.
b)    First Vice-President shall preside at all meetings in the absence of the President and serve as chairman of programs.
c)    Second Vice-President (or his/her nominee) shall choose nominating committee members in accordance with Article IX.
d)    Third Vice-President shall appoint a PTO Room Representative for each classroom before October 1.
e)    Secretary shall keep the minutes on all regular and executive meetings, have a current copy of bylaws, shall be able to sign checks and carry the responsibility for giving notification of meetings.
f)     Treasurer shall collect all funds, pay bills, sign checks and present a financial statement at each meeting.
g)    Teacher Liaison shall be the link between the staff and the PTO. Must attend all PTO meetings or appoint a teacher to fill in.
