In order to hold the college accountable, an open letter asking for concrete changes in reporting procedures and the implementation of preventative methods was presented at a College Diversity Committee Meeting. Despite the letter receiving 136 signatures from Downing students, its contents completely were dismissed and the EMC officers and JCR President were threatened to take it down from Facebook.

The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate your support and put pressure on Downing College to address their failings and implement concrete changes to ensure the welfare of Muslim students.
You can either sign as an individual or on behalf of a JCR/MCR/SU Campaign/Student Society or as an Alumni of Cambridge and in doing so, you will be included in the petition.
