This award recognizes outstanding student teachers. The Nominee:

1. Must be an ILMEA collegiate or active member in good standing.
2. Must have completed student teaching experience in the Fall of 2022 or Spring of 2023.
3. Must have completed part of their student teaching experience at a school in Illinois.
4. Must have demonstrated commitment to learning in their placement and excellence as a pre-service educator.

Please be prepared with contact information for yourself and the nominee, as well as the nominee's resume and three to five letters of recommendation in support of the nominee. At least one letter of recommendation must be from a student teacher supervisor from the college or university and at least one letter must be from a cooperating teacher from the student teacher placement. Additional supporting information may be included as well. The nominator must also be an ILMEA member in good standing.
