The Power of Connection: A Lunch & Learn Workshop with Prairie Rose Seminole
On Sunday, April 28, guest speaker Prairie Rose Seminole will host a workshop at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sacramento titled "The Power of Connection: Fulfilling the Promise of God's Care and Concern for Creation and Those who would Protect it". This workshop will begin at 12:45pm with a catered lunch, before delving into the topic at hand.

From an Indigenous Lutheran perspective, this workshop will focus on understanding the impact of colonization and current issues facing Native populations and how healing empathy in our work to understanding people dispossessed of their land can deepen the gratitude for our shared responsibility in care for the environment. We will briefly explore how connection to one another and our environment strengthens how we live our faith in action while protecting the resources around us.
