If you are interested in your child attending kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year please fill out the following form.
On March 20th you will receive the pre-enrollment link (if your child does not already attend preschool at Lakeview) as well as the sign up link for Kindergarten Round-Up times.
If you need childcare before or after the school day hours, there is the option of enrolling in BASP (Before and After School Program). There is a separate fee schedule for this program, with varying options depending on the number of days and hours in attendance. This program fills up quickly! To receive this information and/or to enroll in the BASP program, please contact Amber Feaker, BASP director, at 624-3401 x1277.

Begindergarten
Begindergarten is our school’s alternate kindergarten program. This program is an option for children who are chronologically “old enough” to attend kindergarten, but from a developmental standpoint, may be too “young” for a structured kindergarten curriculum. Students enrolled in Begindergarten will work on academic skills, but the main focus will be social and emotional development.
Reasons for recommending a child for Begindergarten:
To meet specific needs of children age appropriate for kindergarten (5 years old on or before September 15), but lacking in one or more of the following major areas: social, emotional, and/or academic.
To create a positive self-image in a learning environment
To develop socially to a level that demonstrates age-appropriate behavior
*It is assumed that a year of Begindergarten is followed by a year of full day regular kindergarten.
Parents who are interested in Begindergarten should indicate their interest on the kindergarten questionnaire, along with a letter of recommendation from the child’s preschool teacher and/or a brief description as to why their child should be considered for Begindergarten. This has already been obtained for students who currently attend preschool at Lakeview. Notification for begindergarten acceptance will be sent on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Once notified, parents will have until Friday, April 21, 2023 to accept or decline their child’s seat in the program. Any declined seats will be offered to the next family on the waitlist.
