What is the Teen Advisory Group?
The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a group of teen
volunteers in Grades 7-12 who help make the Nesmith Library a welcoming space for their
peers.
What does the Teen Advisory Group do?
The TAG meets as a group once a month in order to
brainstorm library programs, give feedback on the Teen Space, create library displays and
booklists, and work on other library or community-based activities. TAG members may also
complete projects outside the library, such as writing book reviews, advertising teen library
programs, etc.
Why apply?
There’s a chance to meet new people, work on fun projects, and provide input on
your library space! TAG members also gain volunteer hours for school community service
requirements and involvement in the group can also be listed on college/job applications.
How do you apply to be a member?
1. Fill out this application, it will be sent to Molly, the Teen Librarian.
2. Applicants will be contacted via email or phone within two weeks of application submission if
they are selected for an interview.
3. Filling out an application does NOT guarantee a position in the TAG, but applications will be
kept on file in case there is an opening within the year.
