rATLers U-17 Girls: 1st place!!
cATLanta U-20 Girls: 10th place

For 2024, AFDC is sending at least 4 teams to the USA Ultimate Youth Club Championships in Colorado:
1 U-20 Boys Team
1 U-20 Girls Team
1 U-17 Boys Team
1 U-17 Girls Team
In addition to these 4 teams, we will be working to create 2nd team opportunities in each division (or mixed) that will likely culminate their season locally at an end of season tournament (similar to 2022 Southeast Showdown). These 2nd teams are developmental.
**All teams dependent on USA Ultimate bidding process.**

We are seeking head coaches, assistant coaches and local coaches for all of these teams. Please fill out this form if you are interested in either the Head, Assistant Coach or Local Coach position.

Our goal is to create a collaborative group of coaches to lead this Competitive Youth Club experience, and to build a positive community of Youth players. Coaches will have assigned teams, however, all players and coaches will meet on the same schedule and at the same location during the summer,  so collaboration between coaches will be a priority. We are seeking coaches to fill the following positions for each gender and age division:

Head Coaches (high commitment): Responsible for planning and leading their team every session as well as collaborating with other head coaches.

Assistant Coaches (medium commitment): Responsible for collaborating with head coaches to assist with their teams.

Local Coaches (high to medium commitment): Responsible for fulfilling either head or assistant coach duties but will not travel to Aurora, CO. Traveling teams may also have local coaches for individuals who wish to coach but cannot commit to attending the tournament.

Coaches-in-training (variable commitment): For 2024, we are excited to make YCC coaching more accessible. If you are interested in shadowing YCC coaching and learning what it takes to be part of a YCC team, sign up to be a YCC coach-in-training. Time commitment is flexible.

Benefits:
Coaching positions will be paid $15/hr. Coaches-in-training will receive a stipend based on participation and availability. Coaches that go to YCCs with their team (2) will have their accommodations covered by Atlanta Flying Disc Club and will receive a travel stipend. All coach training and background checks paid for by AFDC. Assistance from AFDC with completing USAU Coach Requirements.

Coaches are expected to:
  • Organize and carry out 2-3 combines/tryouts for all eligible U20 and U17 youth participants in coordination with other YCC team coaches.
