Please choose the style of solo from the list below. You will need to complete a separate form for each solo.
Description of Styles:
Classical - Classical ballet technique
Character - Classical ballet technique with story telling elements
Neo Classical - Classical technique combined with soft flowing movement and demonstration of flexibility
Lyrical - Neo or Contemporary technical base with story telling elements
Contemporary - Classical base with contemporary elements including floor work, parallel positions, contractions and demonstration of flexiblity
Tap - Tap technique
Jazz (current) - Fast sharp movements, isolations, demonstration of flexibility + tricks
Theatrical Jazz - Jazz inspired by musical theatre/broadway styles
Hip-Hop - Street dance styles performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture
National - Music and movement inspired by the National dance of a chosen country eg. Russia, Hungary
Song and Dance - ‘Soft shoe’ dance combined with singing.
Song and Tap - Tap technique combined with singing

Please select either ‘Novice’ or ‘Open’ for this solo entry.
Novice - no placing of 1st, 2nd or 3rd in this style of solo at any competition.
Open - previously placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in this style at any competition.
If you have never competed in this style before you will be in Novice.
