Welcome to the ISEC Reflection Zone!  The purpose of this tool is to reflect on if and how students are developing NGSS Science and Engineering Practices, based on evidence that you see in their notebooks and in other work you do in your classroom with students to engage in Science!  There are no right or wrong answers, just your observations.

To complete this form, identify a student's notebook to work with. You may complete this form on your own, with colleagues, or in a PLC.  Please use the form as a reflection tool and consider the different opportunities children have to develop these practices as you do Science together!

Please use a unique unidentifiable ID for this notebook.
If you have student numbers in your class you could use those, or perhaps initials. Or you can assign a unique number to your students' notebooks.

If you are reviewing a notebook from a colleague's class, please use the same unique id for the notebook that they used, so that you can easily compare the data.
Is the notebook you are reviewing a notebook from your own class or a colleague's class? If it is from a colleague's class, please write his/her name here.
