Do the Little Things, take baby steps
I like how he says that it doesn't matter how we are all different, it matters what we're up to and these small things can make a big difference.  How are our struggles in swimming similar no matter how long we've been swimming or how fast we've gotten so far?
Why does he say you should make your bed, even when you're trying to become a warrior, not a home maker?  What does making your bed have to do with anything?
Why do we need our friends, family, and teammates, why do we need to find others to help us through life?
What made the Munchkin Crew special?  Instead of measuring the people behind the blocks by their height or "the size of their flippers", what should they be measured by?
Would you make it through being a sugar cookie, with no appreciation no matter how hard you tried?  I would struggle with that a great deal I think, but what if you knew the real purpose of the drill was to get you to keep moving when not only did you not GET a sugar cookie, you had to BE a sugar cookie?  What perspective would help you to keep moving forward when times are tough?
At some point in your training, you're going to make the circus list.  You might make it a lot.  Given that you will fail and be discouraged, how do you plan on dealing with it in a way that makes you more powerful rather than less?
Sliding down the rope is 3%, out of the box, buck the industry standard thinking.  It's a David move that made his crush the record that Goliath had.  What can you do to step outside the box, break the mold, and create a way for you to leap frog ahead of your competition?
A night swim with sharks?  I bet you could freak yourself out and get all sorts of ways in your head about that.  Sometimes you do this to yourself before a set or a race or a test or whatever.   Getting yourself all lathered up about something isn't helpful.  How can you stand your ground against those fears and get out there and give it your all anyway?
"The darkest moment of the mission is the time you need to be calm."  For us, it's the most important races where we must be the most composed, the calmest, the most focused and ready to go.   You need everything have for you peak race.  How can you show up at the most important times fully ready to go?
If you and your teammates were "stuck in the mud" would you be the one to start the song, join in first, or one that wouldn't stop singing?  Or would you have been one to volunteer to quit?  How can you "sing," or give people hope, when you're up to your neck in mud?
Don't ever ring the bell.  But that's hard! ... I know it, just do harder and harder things and soon the hard things won't seem so hard anymore and you won't want to give up anyway.  Do you think you would make it through Navy Seal training?

How to make small changes to achieve your goals
What's the "If-Then" plan?
In order to make a dream a reality, we have to do real things that match our dream.  So if I want to get in shape, I have to do things that people who are in shape do, like go for a run at 7am.  If I want to be a junior nationals champion, I have to start doing things that junior nationals champions do.  What are some things you need to do to become who you want to be?
A situational cue might be "When it's 10 seconds before the practice time, I will get in the water."  How does this relate to the Perspective -> Actions -> Results path to success?
What's a "critical moment"?  What's an example of one of your critical moments?
How does being specific and realistic about your plan help you follow through?
What's a "coping plan"?  What's an example of one of your coping plans?
What small changes do you want to create and what's your plan to follow through with that process?
