Ottawa District - Scouts Trash The Trash Day
Join with Scouts around the world as we make our community cleaner!  We will be cleaning pre-assigned sections of downtown Aurora.

This is a great way to earn service hours while participating as a family or Unit.

Date: Saturday, July 11th
Time: 9am - 12pm
Group Size: Units are limited to no more than 50 people total (youth and adults). If there are more than 50 people Units will be assigned 2 spaces to clean.

Check in:
    - Begins at 8:45 am
    - SciTech Hands On Museum  (East Door- Field Trip Entrance), 18 W Benton St, Aurora, IL 60506
    - Units should send only ONE person to check in their group to help keep social distancing.

What to Bring
   - Gloves
   - Masks
   - brooms & dustpans
   - garbage pickers
   - Water Bottle
   - Reflective Safety Vests if you have them

WEAR YOUR SCOUT UNIFORM!!
 
Things Provided
   - Trash Bags
   - Dumpsters

How things will run:
 - Unit Rep (Only one person so we can socially distance) checks in at SciTech
 - Unit will get assigned an area to clean by event staff
 - Unit rep will receive trash bags for unit
 - Unit Rep will lead unit to their assigned area
 - Unit will clean assigned area
 - Once the area is cleaned, Unit Rep will come back to SciTech to check out and drop off trash bags. Units may opt to clean another area if there are spaces available.
