Can complete beginners join the workshop?

Answer: Absolutely! This workshop aims to make Hindustani classical music accessible to every seeker, regardless of their level of experience.

I am old; can I learn music now?

Answer: Music is for everyone, and it is a beautiful art that has something to offer to everyone. Learning and taking action are the best ways to discover your potential. Even if you may not become a perfect singer, you will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for music. This workshop will nurture your musicality through the lens of Hindustani music, allowing you to discover the musician within. Participants over the age of 16 are welcome to join.

My voice is not good; can I learn?

Answer: Voices are not inherently good or bad; they can be trained. Discipline and patience are key to training your voice. Of course, you can learn and improve through the process.

Will it be a whole-day Workshop ? Can I join in between due to important meetings?

Answer: The workshop will be divided into three sessions. If your meetings do not clash with the session timings, you may join in. However, it's important to understand that music is a vast subject, and seven days are just the beginning of the journey. Learning music requires dedication and discipline, so we encourage you to start now and fully immerse yourself in the experience.

i am interested in learning Instrument will this workshop help me?

Yes, absolutely! This workshop is designed to focus on the foundational elements of music, which are essential for every musician, whether you are an aspiring flautist, vocalist, sitarist, or guitarist. You will gain a deep understanding of the fundamental principles that underpin all musical instruments. Additionally, you will also receive insight into harmonium and tabla during this workshop. So, regardless of your chosen instrument, this workshop will undoubtedly provide you with a solid musical foundation to build upon and enhance your musical journey.

I am unable to pay anything, but I am really interested in the workshop. Is there any way I can join?

At Deer Park, we believe in the spirit of education and inclusivity. While most of our workshops are based on dana/contribution, The contributions collected during the workshops are used to support our teachers and maintain the organization. However, we understand that financial constraints can sometimes be challenging.
