Through a separate agreement with SCP’s composers each year, the Fort Worth Chorale has the exclusive right to make that year’s Music and associated audio rehearsal tracks, which include each voice part, a mix-down recording, and an accompaniment track (the “Rehearsal Tracks”), available to approved Title 1 middle schools which join that year’s SCP Consortium.
Upon verification of your school’s Title 1 status (as defined by Public Law 114-95) and receipt of your signatures on this application, your school will receive a link which will give your school access to this year’s Music and Rehearsal Tracks. Your school shall have permission, as a member of the SCP Consortium, to download, print, perform, record, and post using social media outlets the Music, including, but not limited to, in competitions. Your school shall have permission to make copies of the Music up to the number of singers in your choirs, plus 5 extra copies for your school’s archival purposes. Your school shall also have permission to download and make copies of the Rehearsal Tracks. Neither the link nor the permissions set forth herein are transferable to any other person or entity, and are subject to the copyright laws of the United States.
The SCP Consortium window for sign up begins July 15th, 2023 and ends June 30th, 2024 for the Music contained in this Consortium, composed by Remel Derrick and Christi Jones. When your application is accepted, your school will become the owner of the Music you have requested, and the Rehearsal Tracks, just as if purchased from a publishing company. When the Consortium window closes, your school will retain the rights and abilities to possess, perform, and record the Music and Rehearsal Tracks. Only Title 1 middle schools will be able to join as members of the SCP Consortium. After June 30th, 2024, the music can be published by the composers if they choose and future copies may be purchased by anyone. Beginning July 1, 2024, a synchronization license must be obtained to record and post on social media outlets.
