SciSA is delighted to announce that this year's Imposter Syndrome Panel will collaborate with Auckland University Psychology Students' Association (AUPSA). This is a hybrid event, so students near and far can access this event and hear from our unique, diverse panel!
Imposter Syndrome, or Imposter Experience, is a psychological phenomenon in which an individual has an internalised fear of being exposed as a 'fraud', usually in their place of work/study. Many students and academics often feel they are not accomplished enough to study or work in their chosen fields, and they believe their competence is far below their peers. We will be hosting this event with the aim to normalise and discuss self-doubt among lecturers, researchers and students.
This inclusive event welcomes all to join the room for open discussions about Imposter Syndrome and mental health in Science!
We look forward to seeing you there,
