St Brigid’s Primary School along with many other schools in the Yarra Valley and surrounds participate in the After School Basketball Competition (ASC) each year. The ASC is a Basketball Competition for all children of all grade levels with varying abilities, including those who have never played before.  Founded in 2016 the St Brigid’s Basketball Club (SBBC Inc) currently has ~60 players across most School Grades.

Teams are allocated according to the School Grade the player is in and we have both girls and boys teams starting with Grade 1 teams up to Grade 6.  We try to keep near 7 players per team and they play once a week and train once a week. Interested Prep students are welcome to sign up, if there is need for players in a Grade 1 team we would consider including them.

The weekly games are generally played at the Lilydale Stadium.  However occasionally a game may be played at Kilsyth Stadium.

Normally, the game days would be as follows.

Monday - Grade 4, 5, 6 Boys
Tuesday - Grade 3 Boys
Thursday - Grade 3, 4, 5, 6 Girls
Friday - Grade 1,2 Boys & Girls
