June 27th-July 1, 2022 Firefly Valley Pottery Summer Camp
Camp Description:
Firefly Valley Summer Camp is a visual arts and outdoor play-themed summer camp in West Asheville on 1.5 acres at Firefly Valley Pottery Studio.  Each morning, all campers will enjoy in a pottery hand building class as a group. Every afternoon, each camper will look forward to an individual one-on-one pottery throwing lesson. Other activities throughout the day include: cooking/baking, water play, woods play, mud kitchen play, painting, sculpture, pottery and felting!  This camp has an intentionally wide age range and a thriving culture of young campers and older campers being in community and inspiring the best in each other. Ona purposefully crafts the camp environment for this unique, multi-age learning environment to occur. Campers will stay on Ona's property the whole week, no travel is involved. She has seasoned teen helpers and at least one adult teacher in the program at all times. Ona makes a google photo album to share photos with families. On Friday, we will have an art show and appreciation circle for all families at 5pm! Pottery will be picked up about a week after camp ends by families at Firefly Valley.

They would still get to make two pottery projects a day but would be helping during the more free-form times of day. The fee for this program is $100/wk.
