7th Grade Course Selection Form - Discovery MS
THIS FORM WILL BE OPEN FOR RESPONSES STARTING AT 4PM ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3, 2021.

Seventh grade students will take Advanced Language Arts and Advanced Civics. Student performance on the FSA Math assessment will determine student placement in one of the following courses: 7th Grade Advanced Math, Pre-Algebra, or Algebra 1 Honors (high school credit course). Student performance on the FSA Math assessment will also determine student placement in either Comprehensive Science 2 or Earth/Space Science Honors (high school credit).

Immunizations are required of all 7th grade students. Be sure your child’s shots are up-to-date before the first day of school or a schedule will not be issued.

Parents are asked to assist their child with the selection of elective classes and to initial the bottom of this form.

PE is a required elective all three years of middle school unless a waiver is signed. The PE Waiver is located on the Discovery website. Students are given three electives, one being PE.

Please select your 1st, 2nd , 3rd , and 4th choice from the list provided. These choices may not be available due to class sizes; class sizes are limited. Class sizes will determine course offerings. Since PE is required without a waiver, it is not listed as an option below.

(Intensive Reading and/or Intensive Math courses may be required for students who score a level 1 or 2 in FSA ELA and/or FSA Math assessments.)
