SCNA Volunteer Board Application and Process
SCNA Volunteer Board Member Application Process
1. SCNA is open to everyone who wants to volunteer in various capacities, by serving on committees, chairing various short-term or ongoing committees, or being Board Members and Officers of the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association.
2. Applicants should review the Board member Roles and Responsibilities in the SCNA Manual and bylaws (online or in print) to better understand the commitments and ongoing roles and responsibilities of being a Board Member.
3. Complete this Board Member Application. Upon receipt of the completed application, SCNA will contact applicants to meet with them and discuss current available opportunities.
4. The SCNA Board reviews all board member applications at monthly meetings throughout the year as needed to fill board seats and prior to the annual meeting in April. SCNA strives to find strong board member candidates, who are willing to commit to participating, have various skills to benefit the board and to have a board that reflects the diverse populations and voices of the community.
5. Once applications are reviewed by the SCNA Board, board member applicants may either be recommended as board candidates to fill immediate or upcoming vacancies, or recommend applicants for various other important volunteer committee roles within SCNA.
