1) Before using the Makerspace, users must fill out the Makerspace Agreement Form and verify their identity with a valid photo ID.

2) Users must check-in at the reception by signing the guestbook each time they use the Makerspace.

3) Users under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Supervision of parents / guardians is recommended for all minors, as the site contains dangerous tools.

4) Users under the age of 12 or those with no experience in specific technologies should participate in certification training workshops in order to use the specialized equipment. The use of specialized tools without the completion of training by the Makerspace personnel is only allowed if the user certifies that he is able to use the equipment safely and correctly. Makerspace staff is available to help explain the operation of tools and equipment and to provide instructions and / or manuals upon request.

5) Makerspace has safety glasses, masks and gloves that the user is required to use. Makerspace also has first aid kits and fire extinguishers.

6) Makerspace is not responsible for any manufacturing defects in the quality of the construction or materials relating to any tool or equipment.

7) The user agrees that if a tool or component becomes dangerous or fails to respond properly, it will discontinue use immediately and inform Makerspace staff.

8) The user should report any incident or incident that may occur to Makerspace facilities to a staff member.

9) Equipment and tools are available to members based on the priority order and are intended to be used only within the Makerspace premises.

10) Objects used in Makerspace must be returned to the same state of reception. The user agrees to pay for the loss or damage of any item, tool or equipment and further agrees to accept the Makerspace staff's assessment of fairness in terms of damage, impurity, crime and / or loss of items in whole or in part. This recovery amount can be equal to the cost of replacing the tool / equipment / item.

11) The tools used in the Makerspace must be returned by the user to their original location. Storage units and spaces are highlighted to facilitate the right tool return.

12) The user agrees to clean the tools and workspace in the Makerspace after use, returning the workspace to its original state. The user agrees to inform the staff member if they are unable to return a desktop, tool or equipment to their original state.

13) The user acknowledges that the Makerspace is able to provide only consumable materials on a limited basis. Consumption abuse may result in a fine.

14) Any kind of food or drink is prohibited from entering the Makerspace premises containing equipment.

15) Any kind of construction of objects that a) violate the law, b) they are dangerous or harmful, c) violate intellectual property rights is not allowed.

16) Makerspace reserves the right to refuse requests from its members and visitors if it deems it necessary.

17) The Makerspace expects all members and guests to respect the space, staff, equipment and people who use the space alongside them.

19) Taking Risks: The member recognizes the inherent risks associated with the use of tools, equipment, devices and hazardous materials of any kind in the site as well as the involvement of the member in in-house activities that may lead to injury, illness, death or damage to the Member or the personal property of the Member. The member agrees and warrants that it will indemnify and protect the Youth Makerspace from and against any claim, action or proceeding against it brought by any person or persons as well as against any direct, indirect or consequential loss, damage, liability or any other which he wanted or wanted to impose as a direct or indirect use of the Makerspace. The Member now fully understands all these and any other risks arising from its access to the premises of the Youth Makerspace, the use of objects intended for the public and, in general, the enjoyment of the services it provides.

20) The Member agrees that the Youth Makerspace does not provide any warranty of merchantability, appropriateness for a particular purpose or use relating to any project or object manufactured using equipment, tools or materials of the Youth Makerspace.

21) No access to any work area is allowed to members who feel unwell or tired. When one feels tired or unhealthy, he / she is asked not to enter / leave the Makerspace especially outside the supervised hours.

In addition, it should be noted that:

• The purpose of Youth Makerspace Larnaka is to teach and educate students, not to guard and supervise them.

• The Youth Board of Cyprus does not bear any liability in the event of an accident, either inside or outside the Youth Makerspace Larnaka.
