Board Member Nominations
It's time nominate our next Board for Oregon AER Chapter!

Please nominate individuals you feel would be a great representative on the board that will help steer this chapter. All nominees will be contacted to ensure they are interested in the position and to provide a brief bio and picture for elections.

DESCRIPTION OF BOARD POSITIONS:
All positions up for election are voting positions with members serving on committees throughout the year. Committees: Events, Equity, Audit, Budget, Membership, Grant, Marketing, and Policy & Procedures. All board members are eligible to have their AER annual membership cost reimbursed by Oregon AER!

The MEMBER AT LARGE will serve as voting members of the Board, and may serve in any capacity identified by the Board. Often this position will serve on 2-3 committees throughout their term.

The PRESIDENT- ELECT shall serve as assistant to the President and in the absence of the President. After the year as President-Elect, they shall assume the President role providing leadership to the Oregon Chapter by: developing agendas and presiding at all meetings of the board and membership; working with the board to develop goals of the chapter and committees; work with the treasurer to develop a budget; encourage and support Committees; serve as spokesperson and liaison for the Chapter unless delegated to another officer; oversee and review financial reporting; work closely with a president-elect during term to ensure a smooth transition; maintain overall records of the chapter and transfer those at end of term.

The TREASURER-ELECT shall serve as an understudy to the current treasurer for one year prior to becoming Treasurer, acting as their assistant. After the year as Treasurer-Elect, they shall become the Treasurer, serving as the chief financial officer of the chapter. The Treasurer shall see that regular financial statements are prepared in accordance with recognized accounting principles and shall report to the Board of Directors and to the full membership. The Treasurer shall see that all financial records are transmitted to their successor at the completion of the term of office.

The SECRETARY shall be responsible for the records of the chapter and shall have the minutes of meetings prepared in proper order. The Secretary shall conduct routine correspondence as directed by the president and/or Board of Directors. The Secretary takes the lead on all social media activity as well.
