The Relationship between Social Networking Activity Intensity and Cyberbullying Victimisation: Willingness to Self-Censor as Moderator.
Informed Consent Form:

Dear participant, you have been invited to participate in the study as described below. Should you have any questions regarding this study, feel free to contact the researcher, Joshua Lew Jun Kit, for clarification. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 to 35 years old, a Malaysian citizen, active on social networking sites within the last month, and has experienced some form of cyberbullying victimisation within the last month.

About the study:
You have been asked to take part in this study titled "The Relationship between Social Networking Activity Intensity and Cyberbullying Victimisation: Willingness to Self-Censor as Moderator". The present study aims to examine the relationship between social networking activity intensity, willingness to self-censor, and cyberbullying victimisation.

What will happen: Should you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to fill up a demographic data form and three questionnaires. It will not take more than 20 minutes to complete the whole survey.

Risks or discomfort: No risk or discomfort is anticipated for participating in this study. However, if you experience any discomfort when you are answering the questions, you may opt to quit the study. If you do find your participation in this study has caused you psychological distress or harm, you may contact the Centre for Psychological and Counselling Services (CPCS) at 03-7849 3200 or the nearest Befrienders Centre to make appointments.
 
Benefits of this study: There will not be any direct benefit (e.g. monetary compensation) to you for participating in this study, but you will help the researcher to learn more on the relationship between social networking activity intensity, willingness to self-censor, and cyberbullying victimisation.
 
Confidentiality: Your participation in this study is entirely confidential. We will take every effort to ensure that the anonymity and confidentiality of the information collected from. No personally identifying information like your name, or phone number would be collected at any point of this study, and the data released for presentation of the findings will be group data. As such, no one would be able to know your participation in the study, or match you to your response. Access to the survey data on the researcher's personal computer will be protected by a password, and will only be accessed by the researcher.
 
Decision to terminate participation: Participation in this study is voluntary based. You may quit at any time and for any reason. To terminate your participation in this study, just stop answering the questions and exit from this website.
 
Rights and complaints: This study has been reviewed and approved (ERB Approval Code: E202108/024) by the Ethics Review Board, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, Education, & Languages at HELP University.
