As an IB school, 8th grade students will take the following (8) courses:
Language and Literature, Math, Science, US History, Language Acquisition, Performing or Visual Arts, Design, and PE, Karate or Dance

All students who require transportation for the 2021-2022 school year must indicate their preference below. This is the only way to register for HISD transportation for next school year. Currently HISD is providing limited transportation to Lanier Middle School. We will share updates as soon as we have them.

Language Acquisition
All students will be placed in a foreign language class. Students who took a foreign language in 7th grade will continue with the same language in 8th grade. 7th Grade Native Speakers will be placed into AP Spanish.

Due to master scheduling there are conflicts that cannot be avoided. Some class combinations are impossible.
We will make every effort to give each student their first choice. However, there are a limited number of seats in each course; therefore, it is possible that you could be assigned your second or third choice.
