Editing Partner Agreement

Editor Agreement

This contract states the terms of agreement for receiving referrals for free sample manuscript critiques from the 2023 Atlanta Self-Publishing Conference (“ASPC”) by and between the Atlanta Writers Club, Inc., (“AWC”) and Editor (entity described below).  

Editor agrees to pay AWC $50.00 for the right to receive the email addresses of conference attendees who have elected to have their email address shared with Editor, subject to the rules set forth below. 

Payment to AWC must be made before Editor becomes part of the referral workflow.

Editors will be accepted until space runs out based on the quality of their answers on this form. We are looking for well-established, high-quality editors with a solid history of serving their clients well and investing in their own professional reputation and appearance (entries below are reasonably free of errors, professional domain name that matches business name, dedicated professional email address, consistent contact information across platforms and profiles, etc.).

Date and Location

All services and communications between the referred attendees and Editor will take place via email.

Sample Editing Services

  • Editor understands that limited spots are available for this opportunity and that acceptance is on a first-come-first-served basis upon approval of their application. 

  • Editor agrees to pay the fee of $50.

  • Editor understands that this fee is introductory and will be increased in subsequent years at the discretion of the AWC. 

  • Editor will be receiving email addresses of opted-in attendees based on the genre(s) the Editor specializes in.

  • Editor will not receive any other information related to the referred attendee, such as their phone number or mailing address. 

  • AWC makes no guarantees about the profitability of this opportunity as it cannot guarantee how many attendees will opt in.  

  • Editor agrees to provide a free ($0.00) sample critique of the first 1,000 to 2,500 words of a referred attendee’s manuscript to point out to the attendee how editing services can be beneficial to them.

  • AWC will not facilitate any further contact or relationship between the Editor and referred attendee after the initial connection has been made via email.

  • Editor shall indemnify AWC from all claims of loss or liability.

  • Editor agrees to allow AWC to use (now and in the future) images of the Editor or business that are linked to or included in this form for marketing and administrative purposes.
