STUDENT ASSISTANCE IN LEARNING (SAIL) Program at California State University, San Bernardino www.csusb.edu/sailSAIL, the University’s federally funded Student Support Services project, serves 335 students
each year. Eligible participants are students from low-income families, students whose parents
have not earned a bachelor’s degree, and/or students with a learning or physical disability.
The project’s goal is to provide a variety of supportive services to ensure students’ academic and personal success at CSUSB and their persistence towards graduation. SAIL offers:

Academic advising
•
Financial aid counseling and personal financial planning
•
Career and personal counseling
• Focus workshops addressing study skills, student resources and personal growth
•
Computer/Study Resource Center
•
Study marathons to help prepare for final exams
•
Assistance with graduate school planning and applications
•
Cultural, community service, and leadership development opportunities
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for the program you need to be a current or incoming CSUSB undergraduate student.
An applicant to the program must also be one of the following:
• be a low-income student
• a first-generation college student (parents have not earned a bachelor’s degree)
• a student with a disability
SELECTION PROCESS: There are a limited number of spaces available in SAIL for 2023-2024, priority will be given to:
• Students who are both income eligible and first generation college students;
• Students with a disability that require educational accommodations and are also income eligible;
• Students with educational histories that reflect a need for academic support
• MOST IMPORTANTLY, students MOTIVATED to make full use of TRIO services
PLEASE NOTE:
- This 2023-2024 Interest List form is intended for students wishing to enroll into the program for the 2023-2024 academic year (which includes the following terms: Fall 2023, Winter 2024 and Spring 2024).
- If you are interested in enrolling into the SAIL Program for the 2024-2025 academic year (which includes the following terms: Fall 2024, Winter 2025, and Spring 2025) you will need to complete a different interest list form.
