Introduction: This Sunday's Gospel compares the Last Judgement to a shepherd separating sheep from goats. The shepherd identifies the sheep by their merciful actions. The sheep are those who have fed the hungry, given drink to the thirsty, sheltered the stranger, clothed the naked and visited the sick and imprisoned. Jesus wants us to treat other people as he would treat them. The Works of Mercy show us practical ways to love others every day. When we show love to people who are in need, we show love to Jesus.  So now lets take a look a the video below "Jesus Teaches the Works of Mercy" and then answer the questions below.
Jesus Teaches the Works of Mercy
Based on our Gospel reading what are some things that you must do in order to be welcomed into Jesus' kingdom?
1 point
Great job! Remember that when we show love to people who are in need, we show love to Jesus. Jesus wants us to treat people the way he treats people with love and respect. Jesus makes it very clear in today's reading what we need to do. The Works of Mercy he talks about in the Gospel are practical ways that we can show love to others every day. So take some time this week to think about what Works of Mercy you can do for your family or others and in doing so show your love to Jesus!
