2020 Titan Marching Band - Virtual Season Registration Form
Join the 2020 Titan Marching Band TODAY! This form is used to collect necessary information for all students registering as a member of the 2020 Albert Einstein High School Titan Marching Band (TMB).

The Fall 2020 Season will begin on THURSDAY September 17th as a VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE due to the cancellation of MCPS In-Person Extra-Curricular activities. While our in-person activities and performances will not occur, we are still fully committed to offering a virtual experience that will celebrate & build upon the many aspects of marching band that our students know and love.

Weekly Meetings - Thursdays 6-7 PM via Zoom

Weekly TMB meetings will occur on Thursday nights from 6-7 PM via Zoom.  The virtual season will begin September 17th and run thru November 19th, providing our students with 10 meetings/rehearsals from now until the November break. November 19th will be considered our tentative end date as we may decide to extend the season based on any new MCPS information or directives regarding the school calendar or extra-curricular activities.

Why be a part of the Virtual Titan Marching Band?

- Meet new friends and connect with your peers while participating in our AEHS School Spirit!
- New students to AEHS! This is an excellent way to get connected with new people, interact with old friends, and join one of the largest student organizations at our school that you can continue to be a part of for 4 years!
- Opportunity for much needed human connection and social experiences that are missing in this new virtual class format
- Learn and record exciting music, including Titan Glory (AEHS Fight Song) and brand new show tunes that will be shared with our school community via Titan TV and other social media outlets!
- Movement! Take advantage of the opportunity to get up out of your desk chair and learn a variety of marching skills right from home
- Try something new! This is a great time to explore a new experience that you may normally not have time to do in the midst of regular busy school year

Montgomery County Marching Band Collective (Moco MBC)

In addition to our weekly Thursday night TMB meetings, all students will have an opportunity to participate in a brand new opportunity for all MCPS High School students! 10 MCPS band directors, including Mr. Kelly, have joined together to offer a new collaborative experience for our students to participate in weekly zoom sessions with fellow MCPS HS band students to supplement the school-based marching band programs and culminate in a mass band virtual performance of "High Hopes" by Panic! at the Disco featuring approximately 200 MCPS musicians.

- Wednesday Sectionals (7-8:30): Students will tune in to instrument-specific sectionals taught by band directors who are specialists on your specific instrument. This is an awesome substitute for the experiences our students normally enjoy during our summer Early Week/Band Camp. Sessions will include specific skill development, marching skills, and  rehearsing our massed band music
- Additional sessions will be held on Monday and Friday night for any student who chooses to participate that will include guest artists (college band directors, DCI teachers/designers) and workshops on leadership, conducting, and a variety of other topics.

*The registration form for the MoCo MBC will be sent directly to all students after enrolling in the TMB! Registration for the Collective is due by TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 15th to ensure you get all materials for participation. Questions? Email Mr. Kelly at Brendan.W.Kelly1@mcpsmd.net
