CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Multi-Level classes - Begginner Nose Work teams are invited to join this session as well as those teams continuing nose work after session one.
Advanced Nose Work- Thursday only- Email Jill at mtnnosework@gmail.com if interested. Must be on odor.
NACSW is our educational venue as Certififed Nose Work Instructors. All training methods are welcome to join our classes irrespective of the trial venue used for competition or other training.
INTRO TO NOSE WORK is the beginning class for canine scent detection work and advancing to become a search dog team with your companion pet dog. The Intro to Nose Work training class is a SIX WEEK class that meets once a week for 1.5-2 hours. Makeup class sessions or privates may be scheduled based on availaility and facility schedules. All SIX sessions are required as a minimum before advancing to additiional class levels.
CONTINUING NOSE WORK- Must have completed Intro to Nose Work; Intro to Odor or preparing for Odor Recognition Test (ORT) or competing at NW1-2 or equivalent
ADVANCED NOSE WORK- For dog teams already competing at NW3-Elite or Summit.

Intro to Nose Work is just the beginning step to build a confident dog, hunting with you as a teammate, learning target odors and advancing to competition skiils in advanced classes thereafter.
