The Laws of War is an upper-level course at the Law School that focuses on two interrelated bodies of law: the rules pertaining to the use of force in international law (known as the jus ad bellum) and those regulating the conduct of hostilities under the laws of (international and non-international) armed conflict (known as international humanitarian law, the laws of armed conflict, or the jus in bello). Attendees will have an opportunity to interact within the classroom together with the JD students, Professor Ní Aoláin, and the guest speaker.
Guest speaker, Dr. Petr Stejskal, will share his research and expertise on the topic of protection of foreign investments in armed conflict. 1 standard CLE credit has been requested.
