Please note that we have staff training sessions in the spring of 2018 (March - June) and all perspective staff members are required to attend these meetings.  Applicants without prior experience can expect to go through a mentorship/apprenticeship program.

Other Important Requirements:

All new staff members need to do a police check.  We will send you the link that you can follow to perform your police check.  We will cover the cost of this check.

You need to be at least 15 years old to apply to volunteer at “Tropinka” and at least 22 years old to apply to volunteer at “Fire”

We encourage you to apply for the position where you think you will best suited, however, please keep in mind that we may need to assign you a different role depending on our needs and evaluation of our skills.

You do not have to be a Christian to volunteer at our camp but you are expected to abide by our moral code of conduct. All senior positions and positions that involve much interaction with the campers (i.e. cabin leaders) are for those who have demonstrated a lifestyle committed to the teachings of Christ.

We will confirm your availability for all selected camps/weeks closer to the date.

We thank you all for your interest in this initiative and we will be praying about you and your position!

Our aim is to inform everyone before May 20, 2020 regarding the status of their application.

May God bless you in ALL that you do!

Please indicate your desired volunteering position.  Anyone who does not have experience being a Camp Counselor will need to pass a personal interview - we are looking for leaders who know the Scriptures very well and try to practice the teachings of Jesus in their daily life. *
If you chose "Camp Counselor," what age group do you prefer to work with?
What skills and qualities do you possess that qualify you for the position above?
Example: audio-visual skills, musician, craft instructor, outdoor skills, etc.
Why are you interested to volunteer at our camp(s)?
List two references and their contact information (name, phone number/email, relationship to you):
People who you worked with before, such as camp directors, supervisors at work, etc. Please no family members.
Briefly describe your relevant volunteer and work experience.
If you are interested in a Leadership Position, please indicate which position(s) you would like to sign up for.
Note: You are able to do one of the roles listed above, plus take on a leadership position! If that is the case, indicate above what you would like to do (For example: Above you can choose "maintenance worker" and here "game room designer").
As a staff member you will need to make serving children your priority, having a good time with other staff members can be a major distraction. What do you think is the best way to concentrate on your assigned tasks?
If you were a former staff member, please share what you liked about camp and what can be improved.
Do you have any allergies, food intolerances or a special diet?
What is your t-shirt size? *
Keep in mind that the t-shirts are made out of 100% cotton and they will shrink when washed!
Do you try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ in your life?  If so, how?
What do you think it means to be "born again"?  Have you had that experience?
Have you been baptized, if so, when?
Additional Comments:
Selection Process
1. Completed applications are compiled and references are checked.
2. Applications, recommendations and interview notes are considered as specific positions are filled.
3. Further recommendations may be sought from those acquainted with the applicant.
4. All applicants will be notified indicating one of these three decisions by May 15:
         a. hired as a staff member (specific position)
         b. waiting list – due to cancellations and changes in plans a position may be available by summer
         c. unable to hire this summer
5. For hired staff, training manuals will be sent prior to camp and information about camp training will be provided.

** All staff members will need to sign a letter of agreement covering the conditions of being a staff member and their specific position description. The reason for this is to help the staff realize that they are assuming an important duty and that they have moral and spiritual obligations to live up to the terms of the agreement.

*** All staff and campers will need to bring a medical form to camp as required for all attending camp. Must be filled in by parent/guardian if under 18 and must contain Health Card number and doctor's name and phone number.
