Please watch this lecture on ABNC Ecology given by our late Stewardship Director, Mark Kramer. It will give you an overview of our history, mission, ecology, and will touch on our volunteer programs.

This video will not only help you determine if volunteering with ABNC is a good fit for you, but will also give you the foundational knowledge you need to help us achieve our our two-fold mission to:

To preserve the habitats with which we have been entrusted.
To provide opportunities for people to experience and understand the local ecosystem.

You should know that you don't have to become a member of our volunteer organization to volunteer. You can choose to do one-time volunteering through our Service program for visiting volunteers - more about that here.

Being a member volunteer does come with perks. As a member volunteer, you choose when you help out. You will receive invites to special learning opportunities and our guest speaking events and more volunteer opportunities are open to you too.
