Course on in-depth reporting on flood and humanitarian crisis 
Pakistan is vulnerable to climate change, urbanization, environmental degradation and thereby, prone to disasters such as drought, floods, heat waves, and earthquakes. The country as incurred losses worth millions of dollars as it grapples with massive flooding, which has been termed "the worst flooding in the country's history" by its Prime Minister. In a such a situation, it is the responsibility of media representatives and journalists to report ensure credible coverage which covers the impacts of natural disasters on gender, agriculture, health, and focus on the transparency of the foreign aid. 

Media Matters for Democracy (MMfD) is offering a virtual training course on in-depth reporting on flood and humanitarian crisis. The course seeks to provide journalists with guidance on how to handle the challenges and techniques involved in covering international-scale crises and disasters. 

The course comprises four units: Invisible Numbers: Economic Impacts of Humanitarian Aid, Health in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies, Gendered Nature of Disasters and Natural Hazards, and Impact of Disasters on Food and Agriculture.
