Thank you so much for being willing to serve in Vacation Bible School this summer! We are so excited to be able to offer an "in person" VBS after missing last year, but it will not be possible without YOU!!

This form will list out the different areas to serve with a short description of what to expect.

Decorating before VBS starts (July 10th) - You can fill this position and help in another area the week of VBS

Lead Decorator - Come up with a plan for decorating a "Main" area of VBS (Foyer, Sanctuary, Dining Hall)

Decorating Crew - No creative juices needed! We will need a good crew of people to assemble and hang the decorations prepared beforehand

Check-Ins

Check-In Children as they arrive. Count Attendance each night, Count offering each night, Help with Checking out the children as they leave.

Bible Story

Work with Dana and Percillia before VBS to help develop a "script" to be acted out each night of VBS - Ideally you would also be available as an actor/leader behind the scenes during the bible story each night of VBS.

Actor - Be prepared to "act" out the Bible story on the stage each night of VBS

Small Group Facilitator - Dig deeper into The bible story with application questions and discussions with kiddos.

Lead a small group science experiment

Lead a small group in assembling a craft project

Recreation

Be prepared to get wet! The favorite recreation activities involve water! Lead games and activities in the recreation rotation.

Childcare

Watch and play with the youngest members of VBS! All babies through 3 year old children will be with you while their parent volunteers at VBS! We will have a short bible story and craft activity for you to complete with some of the older kiddos.

Pre-K Kindergarten

This age group isn't QUITE ready for the full rotation of VBS. You will attend the opening music part of the night and then recreation. After that you will head to your very own classroom to do a small lesson and the evening's craft or science project on your own schedule.

1st - 2nd Grade

You will be responsible for a small handful of 1st-2nd graders. you will help maintain proper behavior during the evening and escort your kids to each rotation.

You will be responsible for a small handful of 3rd-5th graders. you will help maintain proper behavior during the evening and escort your kids to each rotation.
