Welcome to the online sign-up for the University Music mailing list for the academic year 2022/23. By completing this form you are signing up to receive information about University Music and Music Society ensembles, and can declare your interest in a wealth of music-making opportunities at the University of Birmingham.

University Music is the extra-curricular music programme at the University, and incorporates more than 35 ensembles, as well as creating performing opportunities for student musicians, staff, and members of the local community. Activities include ensembles run by the Music Society, professional coaching, and performance opportunities related to the Collective for Early Music Performance and Research (CEMPR), as well as an extensive health and wellbeing programme.

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY...

- If you would like to book an AUDITION SLOT for one of our AUDITIONED ensembles, please email the University Music & Concerts Team (universitymusichub@contacts.bham.ac.uk) directly to arrange an audition. You are also encouraged to complete the below form for general information, so we may keep in touch with you about all of our ensembles, as well as how to get involved in other opportunities.

- Auditions are taking place between Monday 26 September 2022 - Friday 30 September 2022 (i.e. Week 1 of the academic year). Audition information (and relevant extracts) for all auditioning students can be found at https://www.uobmusicsociety.org.uk/auditions.
 
- If you are interested in signing up for one of our UN-AUDITIONED ensembles, please complete the below form and you will receive further information in due course about how to participate (including the date, time, and location of the first rehearsal). Please note that some of our un-auditioned ensembles have limited places available.

- Please note that some of our ensembles require students to be a member of the University of Birmingham Music Society. Ensembles run by the Music Society are clearly marked throughout the following sign-up form. When joining an ensemble run by the Music Society students will be required to formally sign-up for the Music Society, as well as pay the yearly membership fee of £20. Details of how to complete this process will be provided by the respective Ensemble Manager once rehearsals have commenced.

NEXT STEP...

This form comprises of three short sections and should take no more than a few minutes to complete.

This form will remain open until the end of Week 1 (2022/23 academic year); however, if students have any further questions after this date they should email the University Music & Concerts Team (universitymusichub@contacts.ac.uk) in the first instance.
