Solo Sunday is a new pop-up theater in Chicago featuring solo performance in an intimate 55-seat transformed space. For more information, please visit www.solosunday.com
We are located upstairs at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro (3905 N Lincoln).
We will be booking a variety of solo acts for future performances, and are open to any sort of performance - traditional solo show, fringe shows, comedy, music, and so on. We are not currently featuring performances with multiple performers.
Most shows will take place on Sunday afternoons, and will be capped at 90 minutes.
Please note that our stage space is small (6 feet deep, 12 feet wide).
Our tech is limited at this point, so complicated lighting schemes or sound design will probably not be possible. We do have a 60 inch screen available on stage for limited multimedia run from a laptop.
We are a space run by artists, so we are simply looking to partner with you to produce memorable theater and for all of us to make a little money, not to gouge you for rent or kick you a pittance while we sit back and rake it in. All production concerns are taken care of by us. We'd love your help in promoting your show, but mainly, we create the space, and you bring the art.
We'll be in touch at some point to speak with you more about upcoming opportunities. Please be patient!
Thank you so much for your interest. We hope to have the chance to work with you.
