Hello! To compliment the methodology of our Kantamanto Waste Stream Data Analysis, which is based on the garments considered waste by individual retailers who sell specific garment types, we ask that you fill out this survey for only one garment type at a time, but you are more than welcome to complete it multiple times.

**The garments you capture do NOT need to be "waste" garments** What we're hoping to establish is what fiber types are in circulation by garment type.

We've listed 80+ garment characteristics. This may seem like a lot, but it is what we have discovered in the market to be broadly representative of the variety of fiber types in circulation. Each different garment type and fiber type may require unique methods of remanufacture or present unique challenges in the resale process, such as ironing or cleaning. We are not aware of any major fashion brands that disclose the volume of items put into production or sold annually. Nor are we aware of any major brands that disclose the volume of materials in their supply chain by garment type or fiber type.

A retailer in Kantamanto typically sorts through hundreds if not thousands of items in a week. We typically sort through between 50 - 200 garments per retailer for our Waste Stream Analysis.
