2 year Funding - (For families in England, receiving some additional forms of government support)
If you are eligible, the funding will start the term after your child’s second birthday.
Funding is available for up to 15 hours of childcare per week for 2 year olds whose families meet one of the following criteria:
Income Support, Income based Jobseekers Allowance, Income related Employment and Support Allowance, Child Tax Credits
or Working Tax Credits and have an annual gross earnings of no more than £16,190, The guarantee element of State Pension
Credit Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Or they have a two year old child who
Has a current statement of SEN or an Education, Health Care Plan, Receives Disability Living Allowance, Has left care through
special guardianship or through an adoption or residence order or a looked after Child.
Children Centre’s are responsible for completing applications for 2 year old funding and have details of the eligibility criteria.
Please contact your local Children's Centre if you feel you are eligible.

2 year funding- working parents

You, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £167 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage).

If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.

You can't get either 15 or 30 hours childcare if you, or your partner, each individually expect to earn £100,000 adjusted net income or more.

Eligible working families can get up to 30 hours childcare. This cannot be used in addition to the 15 hours available for all 3 and 4 year olds.

Your child can start in their childcare place the term after they are eligible and have received a valid eligibility code, whichever is later. Term start dates are 1st September, 1stJanuary and 1st April.

To keep your 15 or 30 hours childcare place you need to check your details are up to date every 3 months.

3-4 year Funding:

15 hour Funding -
All children are entitled to up to 15 hours of Nursery Education Funding the term after their 3rd birthday.
We ask parents for a 5-session commitment to ensure maximum opportunity for the children.

30 hour Funding -
Some parents of 3 and 4 year olds may also be eligible for 30 hour funding. If you are eligible for 30 hour funding your child can stay all day.
