After resuming our tradition with a successful event last year, our Seth Boyden annual student variety show produced by the PTA will return again to the Seth Boyden Auditorium with a performance June 2, 2023 from 5-7:30pm!

This variety show will include 3 minute acts showcasing the diverse talents from Seth Boyden students. This is an inclusive event, celebrating our students, and we encourage every student with interest to participate.

Acts can be individual or with groups.

The Variety Show will be held as one event, and interested participants are required to attend "Auditions" on May 23, 3:30-6:30 OR May 24, 4:00-7:00 (a review of material to confirm timing, technical requirements and readiness), as well as a practice and dress rehearsal on May 30, 3:30-6:30pm & May 31, 4:00-7:00pm prior to the final performance June 2, 2023 from 5-7:30pm. All dates will take place in the Seth Boyden Auditorium.

For auditions, participants are required to bring all props/ music/ instruments etc. needed for their act. They will only need to be present for their audition time slot.

Participating in the Seth Boyden Variety Show does come with some time commitments. In addition to the audition and final performance on June 2 5-7:30pm, we ask that students also attend practice and dress rehearsal May 30, 3:30-6:30pm & May 31, 4:00-7:00pm. Please confirm your ability to make these dates.

This year we'll include a brief audition for those students interested in acting as event hosts (welcoming the audience and introducing acts).

In addition to indicating interest below, please come to the audition with a three sentence "mock welcome" for the audience to our Variety Show, that you will be asked to present in addition to your talent audition piece.

There will only be a few slots available for performance hosts, and we will primarily optimize for clarity of communication, vocal projection and a little pizzaz!
