All volunteers are required to have a valid police check to be on file and an offence declaration submitted annually thereafter to keep that police check status valid. (For example, a 2022 police check is no longer valid for 2024 if an offense declaration was not submitted in 2023.) It is important to note that beginning in 2022, the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) mandated that all OBA member Associations will require a VSC (Vulnerable Sectors Check) to be completed for ALL volunteers due to stricter insurance requirements. VSC will be valid for 3 years from completion, with annual declarations to be filed in all other years. If required, please begin the police check process as soon as possible as they can take several weeks to be returned.

All coaches are also required to complete Safe Sport Training one time at
coach.ca. There is no cost to this training.

In a normal season, to provide a successful program and enjoyable experience for our players and families, each year we require 10 Convenors (1 per age division), ~80-90 Head Coaches (1 per team) and ~160-180 Assistant Coaches (2 per team).
To best manage our volunteer applications, please submit separate forms to volunteer for multiple positions/divisions.
Assistant Coaches may be asked to be a Head Coach if there are not enough volunteers. If we have more Head Coach volunteers than teams in a division, extra coaches will be assigned as Assistant Coaches.
