New students will learn the basic skills, techniques and fundamentals of boxing in a non-contact format.

Returning students will practice and refine boxing skills, adding complexity and challenge.

Students will NOT spar or otherwise box one another in this club.

Boxing Club will be held WEDNESDAYS from 12:00 to 1:15 PM in the Auditorium.

Requirements: Review with your child and check each box to indicate understanding and agreement *

Students will dress out after dismissal and report directly to the auditorium

Students will be dressed and ready for boxing to begin by 12:15 PM

Students will be picked up no later than 1:30 PM

Students may be removed from the roster after two absences

Positive attitude and cooperation: student will participate fully and follow directions at all times

Absolutely no horseplay, roughhousing or dangerous actions will be tolerated

Students will help set up prior to club and clean up afterwards

Appropriate athletic gear required for participation (checklist below)

I understand failure to meet these requirements will result in removal from the club

I understand that boxers cannot fight in school. If involved in a fight the boxer will be exited from the club in addition to any school-based consequences

REQUIRED GEAR: students MUST bring each item to participate. *

Gear/gym bag for boxing gear with all items listed below:

Athletic wear: T-shirt or athletic shirt, shorts or sweatpants/joggers (No hoodies, jeans in boxing)

Clean indoor shoes (running, wrestling or boxing shoes: NO BOOTS)

Water bottle (filled before boxing)

Towel and deodorant

Boxing Gloves (ask me for recommended sizes. Most students use 12 Oz Everlast gloves)

Hand wraps (120 inch for most students, 180 inch larger hands)

Intermediate: prior boxing instruction with Mr. Mokelke or a certified gym/instructor

Advanced: multiple years experience boxing in a gym/club or with Mr. Mokelke
