2024 Juneteenth Proposals
The 2024 Juneteenth Committee invites members of the Canisius University community to submit a proposal to present a session during this year's celebration. Canisius will be hosting a Sankofa Day on Thursday, June 13 from 9am-1pm. Sankofa teaches us the importance of the past to build the future.

The committee is seeking proposals that highlight the significance of Juneteenth, focus on racial justice, equity and solidarity, and the rich cultural heritage of the African American community. Proposals should aim at honoring the legacy of the emancipation and promote understanding and solidarity.
