Dance at Little Big Minds, Fall 2021
Dance develops rhythm, expression, coordination, poise, physical control, and endurance.

FLAMENCO classes explore dance technique such as arm and foot positions, rhythm, palmas, hand articulation, footwork, turns, across the floor exercises, and movement patterns. Cultural elements of flamenco and Southern Spain are incorporated through books, stories and activities.

BALLET classes (Uptown only)  explore classical technique with Cecchetti and Russian influences. Exercises include positions of the body, tendu, plié, ronde jambe, relevé+, across the floor exercises, jumps, turns, and leaps. Cultural and history elements are incorporated through books, stories and activities.

    Uptown Campus:      Tuesday,       1:15-2:15 pm
    Scottsdale Campus: Wednesday, 1:15-2:15 pm

Classes will begin in September. Vacation days will follow the campus schedule. The end-of-semester performance date will be determined as the holiday parties are confirmed with each campus. Children must be 3.5 years old to attend flamenco!

Semester tuition:
    $350 per class  
    $630 for two classes.  $20% discount on your second class! (flamenco & ballet OR sibling discount)

I hereby consent to have my child participate in this flamenco dance program and represent that my child is in good health and suffers from no physical impairment which would limit his/her participation in the dance program.

Flamenco Attire
Proper clothes create a special atmosphere and promote a learning mindset within the classroom! Please provide the following for your children:

Girls: Flamenco dress (*or black leotard/shirt with red or black practice skirt). Hard-soled black shoes with Velcro or elastic buckle. Hair neatly pulled back.

Boys: White or black t-shirt, active-wear pants, and hard-soled shoes or flamenco boots.

*Note: Flamenco dresses are preferred for class and the Holiday Performance, but post COVID-19 resources may be low due to lowered production overseas. If you cannot find a dress, black leotards and red or black skirts will be fine. Resources are on the Amazon link above.
Payment
Semester tuition in the amount of $350 is due the first day of class. Payment may be made by check to Spanish Arts, LLC, or, by Venmo (Julia-Chacon), Zelle, GooglePay, or Facebook to 602-741-9495. For security, please text me and I will send  a QR code to my Venmo account. I look forward to sharing flamenco with your family!
