2024 HOOP English Program. (Yes... Finally!)
We are HOOP, which stands for Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru, an NGO that promotes the sustainable development of people and their families, in the community of Flora Tristan, in the city of Arequipa, Peru.
Our main objective is to break the cycle of poverty in which they currently find themselves in. For that purpose, we created educational, social and community development projects that seek to improve the quality of life of our beneficiaries.
Back in the days, HOOP started as an English Education project. We grew so much, went through so many things... And two years ago, with the pandemic, we needed to make the hard decision to stop international volunteering. But good news! Now we are better prepared, moms and kids are asking for the program, and we definitely want it back too!
