2020-2021 Parent Planning Survey
MCC Families, even though we have not heard all the requirements for how school will start, we need your help to prepare. Please take time to complete this survey. Your responses will help us understand your needs and how you can help us make things work as we finalize our planning under the three models the state outlined in the 2020-2021 Planning Guide for Schools.

If you are unable to complete the survey online, our school secretaries will assist by calling families. We want to hear from everyone.

Some of the questions will ask you about specific scenario:
Scenario 1: School is open and all students are able to go to school
Scenario 2: Hybrid Option; School is open, we will likely need to have a rotation of some days in school, some days distance learning with goal for siblings to go to school on same day(s). We are looking at two days of week in school and remainder of week distance learning for each child under this model.
Scenario 3: Distance Learning

If MCC Schools are able to open in-person this fall either under Scenario 1 or Scenario 2, will you be sending your child to school? *
Transportation
We will need to restrict seating on all school buses under Scenario 2. This requires 50% capacity and spacing of children which will limit our seats available. This will require much cooperation and we will need as many families that can to bring children to school if we are required to utilize the Hybrid Model.
Under scenario 1 (in school) or 2 (Hybrid): Are you or an older child that drives able to bring your children to school and pick your children up from school? *

Safety Measures
For the safety of staff and students there are many safety measures built into the state planning options.
Our plans are considering:
- Health Screenings from parents
- Temperature checks as all students and staff enter buildings.
- Limit visitors
- Hand Washing
- Social Distancing
- Masks (state mandate)
- Meals in classrooms
- Students sick will be placed in isolation area until family member can pick them up
We are trusting and asking all parents to check their child's health each day and abide by rule if they are sick stay home. Do you accept this responsibility? *
Masks: The governor mandated face masks indoors in all public buildings including schools and on school transportation. We plan on adding masks to the school supply list for all students to meet requirements. If we are under Scenario 1 (in person) or Scenario 2 (hybrid), are you able to supply your child with face masks? *
Distance Learning
In the event we are going to have Hybrid/Distance Learning we are planning improvements to make the experience better than it was in the spring. Here are some items we are considering:
- Sending technology home with students grades 2-12
- Teachers working from school to make it easier for them to contact for support
- A learning support phone line where a paraprofessional or a teacher can support your child with assistance
- Video Conference with teacher periodically to improve communication
- Provide internet hot spots available for families in need
- Connect with Internet partners to assist families
For Scenario 2 (Hybrid) or Scenario 3 (Distance Learning) would you need school provided meals on days school is not in person for your child? *
For Scenario 2 (Hybrid) or Scenario 3 (Distance Learning) would you need school based childcare on days school is not in person for your child? *
Do you have internet at home for your child to use for school work? *
Would you prefer distance learning over in-person schooling to start the school year? *
What other improvements would you like us to consider for improving distance learning?
