When You're Ready - Cycle 4 sign up! ✨

Hey there!  πŸ‘‹  Thanks for your interest in the When You're Ready program. πŸ’ž

This is an interactive discussion-based community-building program for queer and/or trans East/Southeast Asian youth, where we will talk about topics such as mental health, chosen family, and anti-oppression.  Interested?  Fill out this sign-up form! πŸ“

The first When You're Ready session for Cycle 4 will take place on Sunday, May 8th from 1-3:30pm EST.  We will be meeting twice a week until June 19th on Sundays from 1-3:30pm EST and on Thursdays from 6-8:30pm EST.  As such, we'll be meeting on May 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29 and on June 2, 5, 9, 12, 16 (see image below for reference).  As these sessions will be happening around lunchtime on Sundays and dinnertime on Thursdays, we encourage you to eat during our sessions!

Towards the end of May or early June, pending safety around COVID and participants' comfort levels, we have the option to meet in-person on Sundays.  If this is something you're interested in, please indicate so below.  We will be providing lunch as safely as we can during these times.  Until then, all sessions will be held on Zoom until further notice.

While we'd prefer folks who can commit to all 12 sessions, we understand that life happens and people are busy!  As such, please try to commit to attending 8/12 sessions in this cycle before signing up.

Please leave us at least 1 form of communication (ideally 2-3!) for us to reach you at.  Thanks!

What is your name? *
Feel free to put your preferred name here--we don't need anything formal. :)  And to answer a common question--we do allow you to experiment with a variety of names and pronouns in this space, so no worries if you feel like changing it up later!
What are your pronouns? *
What is the best way to contact you? *
Please tell us how to reach you!  Something like "Email - youth@acas.org" or "Instagram - @QueerAsianYouth" works great.  Platforms that we use include but are not limited to: Email, Instagram, Facebook, Texting (Phone number), WhatsApp, Discord, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more!
What are some other ways we can contact you?
While you need to leave at least one way to contact you, providing us 1-2 other ways to do so helps us immensely!
In order to facilitate meaningful community building among fellow participants and for participants to get the most out of the program, we request that participants show up to at least 8 out of 12 sessions. *
If you are unable to attend 8/12 sessions, you will be put on a waitlist, and folks who can commit will be prioritized.
Currently, how do you feel about the latter sessions of this When You're Ready cycle being in-person? *
All participants MUST have their masks on; social distancing will be encouraged; while food will be provided, only those with proof of vaccination may take off their mask to eat (otherwise, folks can take the food home).  Additionally, we can at least partially compensate transit costs for participants.  Of course, we will be surveying participants again closer to the date, keeping an eye out for COVID safety measures, and constantly reassessing this option as time goes on.  No pressure either way--this just helps us plan!
You agree that you identify as queer and/or trans (or questioning!); you agree that you are Asian; you agree that you are a youth (between 16-30 years old). *
Do you have any access needs that we should know about?
While we can't guarantee anything, we'll do our best to accommodate you!
What’s your favourite bubble tea or milk tea flavour? πŸ˜‹
And if you don't like either--what's your favourite/comfort drink?
