ENROLLMENT
It is understood that submitting this form is a request for consideration to participate in a career program and not a guarantee of enrollment. Final enrollment decisions will be made by WCC administration. By signing this form you give permission for school records to be sent to Whitewater Career Center (WCC) by the home high school. The school records will be used by career center staff to determine career program eligibility.

Student records will be reviewed based on attendance, discipline, progress toward graduation, and career aspirations. WCC may need to make selection decisions due to more students enrolling in a career program than can be accommodated. In such cases, the above criteria will be used to review each application. WCC staff will also consult with staff from the sending high schools. Students who are not enrolled may be placed on an alternate list. As spots become available, students may be enrolled from the alternate list. Students may be denied enrollment by the home high school or WCC due to poor attendance, excessive disciplinary incidents, or lack of satisfactory progress toward graduation.

COMMITMENT
It is understood that enrollment into a career program is a full school year, two-semester commitment. Students who begin a career program are expected to complete the school year.

RULES, POLICIES, AND EXPECTATIONS
It is understood that WCC has rules, policies, and expectations that may differ from the home high school. While attending a career program, students will be expected to abide by the rules, policies, and expectations presented to them. Any disciplinary actions will originate from WCC. Career programs award multiple credits per semester.
Failure in a career program results in no credits being awarded for that semester. More information is detailed in the WCC Student Handbook.

ATTENDANCE
Participation in a career program is primarily a hands-on experience that requires a student to be in attendance daily. Absences may affect a student’s grade. Students are given a WCC calendar and are expected to be in attendance each and every day classes are in session. More information is detailed in the WCC Student Handbook.

STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS/FUNDRAISING
Certain programs are involved with student organizations that may request student participation in activities outside of the normal school day as well as participation in fundraising activities. The student is responsible for fundraising items distributed and money collected. Failure to pay expenses will result in debts being turned over to a collection agency.

TRANSPORTATION
It is understood that students (except for Connersville High School students) are expected to ride the assigned bus to and from WCC each day. Driving without permission will result in disciplinary action. To obtain permission, students must complete the required permission forms with parent/guardian, home school, and WCC signatures. Students are not allowed to drive other students without permission from all parents/guardians, a home school administrator, and a WCC administrator.

EARLY COLLEGE CAREER CENTER (ECCC) WCC is endorsed as an Early College Career Center (ECCC) through CELL (Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning at the University of Indianapolis). CELL endorses high schools and career centers across the state. Students can participate in ECCC through select programs at WCC. These ECCC programs will allow students to earn enough dual credits over two years to complete a Certificate at Ivy Tech in the following programs:

WCC Program Ivy Tech Credential
Automotive Technology Certificate in Maintenance and Light Repair
Precision Machine Technology Certificate in Machine Tool Technology
Welding Technology Certificate in Structural Welding
Certificates are the first credential that can be earned through Ivy Tech. By taking additional courses at Ivy Tech, students can earn Technical Certificates and Associate Degrees. Students earning Ivy Tech certificates are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony at Ivy Tech Richmond.
In addition, the Criminal Justice program at WCC is an Early College program through Vincennes University. Students can earn 15 credits hours toward the VU Law Enforcement Certificate of Graduation. Five additional general education courses are required to complete the Certificate, and those courses may be offered at the home high school.

STUDENT PHOTOS Signature on this form by the student and/or parent grants permission to WCC to use personal photos or facsimiles of students in printed publications, news releases, videos, social media applications, and/or websites promoting WCC and the specific career program. If permission is not granted, contact WCC before the start of the school year.

By signing below, we understand and agree to abide by the above information.
