Qualifications of the KEDC - Business Representative: Must own, manage, or be an executive level employee with a company located in Kerr county for at least (1) year, unless otherwise approved by a (2/3) vote of the Board of Directors. Must be a Kerr County resident. Must attend monthly KEDC Board of Director meetings with limited absence.
Purpose: Serve as a member of the KEDC Board of Directors. The purpose of the KEDC is to be a leader of the Economic Development of Kerrville and Kerr County, TX, by facilitating meaningful activities that promote growth, retention, and prosperity, while being compatible with the natural environment. KEDC's missing statement is "to retain existing jobs and create new jobs opportunities in Kerrville and Kerr County," that helps to benefit the Hill Country quality of life we all enjoy.
Term of Office: Three years, maximum of (2) consecutive terms.
Number of KEDC board members: 11
Meeting Time & Place: First Monday of each month, 12:00pm CDT at the Kerrville Chamber of Commerce.
