Newtown Creek CWQT Volunteer 2022
The 2022 Water Quality Sampling kicks off next week (May 19th) and Newtown Creek Alliance is looking for a few dedicated volunteers to help out with the program through the summer. Every Thursday morning we sample 5 sites on Newtown Creek as part of the NYC Community Water Quality Testing program (CWQT).
The program runs for 20 weeks, rain or shine, and requires volunteers to collect and deliver samples to the Billion Oyster Project research station in Williamsburg. We provide gloves, a bucket and other materials needed for sampling.
